There are many ways you can make a real difference for local people and their whānau facing breast cancer. Whether you volunteer, fundraise, or donate, your support helps our community stay connected, cared for, and supported, and helps our charity continue the important mahi we do in the community.
Volunteer
We’re always looking for kind-hearted people to join our volunteer whānau. You can give as much, or as little time as suits you, and every contribution makes a difference.
Our volunteers are the heart of BCSST, supporting our community in many ways, including:
Sewing heart cushions and drainage bags for surgery patients
Knitting blankets, beanies, scarves, or knitted knockers
Baking treats for clients and supporters
Helping with admin tasks
Serving morning tea in the Chemotherapy Ward
Supporting fundraising events
No matter how you help, your time, energy, and aroha make a real impact. 💕
Fundraise for us
Why not host your own fundraising event? It could be a breakfast, afternoon tea, movie night, sports match – or even a disco! The sky is the limit! Every dollar you raise supports local people and their whānau facing breast cancer.
Fundraise with your workplace, sports team, community group, or whānau and friends – the more, the merrier!
Big or small, your event will make a difference – and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Get in touch — we’d love to hear your ideas and chat about how we can help bring your event to life.
Donate
Every donation helps local people and their whānau access the care, connection, and practical support they need as they navigate a breast cancer diagnosis.
No matter the size, your gift has real impact. Your generosity helps us continue this important mahi — powered by the kindness of our community, local businesses, grants, and fundraising.
Because of supporters like you, we can keep providing these vital services so no one in our community has to face breast cancer on their own. Every contribution stays local and goes directly to real people in our region, offering strength, compassion, and practical support during one of the toughest times in their lives.
Thank you for your kind support — it truly means a lot.
