At Breast Cancer Support, we know that every breast cancer journey is different.
That’s why we take a personalised approach to support— so you feel heard, understood and supported in a way that works for you. Whether you’d like to chat over a cuppa, join a workshop, or simply find information when you need it, it’s completely up to you how much or how little you choose to engage. We are here for you.
Our Services
One on one Support
Our Support Workers have personally faced breast cancer, so they truly get it. They’re here to listen and support you.
Groups and Workshops
Connect with others at our relaxed coffee catch-ups, or join informative workshops covering a range of topics - like managing lymphoedema, staying active and looking after your wellbeing.
Counselling
If you’d like someone to talk to in confidence, we have qualified counsellors available to you and your whānau.
Meals and Juices
After surgery or during treatment, we can provide a nourishing frozen meal for your freezer or a fresh juice - especially helpful if you’re low on energy or don’t feel like eating.
Oncology Massage
Our gentle, relaxing oncology massage is provided by a specialised therapist to help ease stress, relieve pain, and support your recovery.
Helping Hands
If finances are a real worry, we can help with small grants to help ease the load.
Practical Items
We offer helpful essential items for treatment and recovery - like mastectomy cushions, drainage bags, seatbelt covers, beanies, and head scarves - to help make things a little more comfortable.
Resource Library
Borrow books, helpful guides, and local service info from our library - so you feel informed and empowered on your journey.
